Gunnar Ellingsen, Ph.D., is a professor in telemedicine and e-health at UiT - the Arctic University of Norway, Department of Clinical Medicine. He is also the leader of the research group for Telemedicine and eHealth. He holds an MSc. in Computer Science from the University of Tromsø and a Ph.D. in Computer and Information Science from Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). Gunnar has since the late 1990s studied the implementation and use of Electronic Patient Records in Norwegian hospitals. He was a special advisor to Helse Nord IKT from 2008-2015, Norwegian Centre for E-health Research and the Norwegian EHR Research Centre research fellow, and University of Cambridge visiting scholar from 2013-2014. Gunnar Ellingsen has over 100 publications in peer-reviewed top-tier journals.
