Professor Kwaku Oppong Asante is an experienced researcher and a lecturer at the Department of Psychology, University of Ghana. He has a Ph.D. in Psychology from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, Durban, South Africa and a Master’s degree in Human Development from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, Trondheim, Norway. Prior to his new position, he was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Discipline of Psychology, University of KwaZulu-Natal., and has extensive skills in both quantitative and qualitative research methodologies. His research interests focus on adolescent health and well-being, social and psychological aspects of HIV/AIDS and health promotion. He has excellent skills in the use of both qualitative and qualitative analyses software such as SPSS and NVivo. He has published extensively in high impact journals, acts as a reviewer on a number of international journals and currently an Associate Editor of the International Journal of Mental Health and Addiction.
