Philip Kofi Adom obtained his Ph.D. in Economics from the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences, where he received the Global Swede Award. He has a Master of Philosophy degree in Economics from the University of Ghana and also holds a first class Bachelor of education degree in social sciences from the University of Cape Coast. Philip specializes in energy and environmental economics, applied econometrics, and macroeconomics. He considers himself as an applied economist. He has published articles in international reputable journals and provides reviews for both academic journals and international organizations. Research Papers in Economics (REPEC) ranks him among the top 8 economists in Africa. He was a Visiting Research Fellow at the African Development Bank and a Research Associate at the City University of Hong Kong. Philip also engages a lot in national policy discourse and has participated in some national policy round-table meetings in Ghana. Currently, he lectures in economics at the University of Professional Studies, Accra-Ghana.
